(WARNING: This article contains spoilers for True Blood season 3, episode 11.)
Last night’s penultimate episode set the framework for the explosive and blood-soaked finale. At least I hope it’s blood-soaked – after all this faerie and were-panther-meth business, I’m not sure we’ll get the bang we got with Mary Ann last season.
Sookie is trapped in Eric’s basement, and Bill expectedly arrives to save the day. Pam tries to level with him – they need Sookie to lure Russell in…and this is where I get frustrated. Just tell Bill, …

**Warning – Spoilers below!**
After last week’s stellar and darkly humorous conclusion and only three episodes left, things are getting pretty messy on True Blood.
But first they get a little silly as we open on Bill finally telling Sookie what she is. Acting as the voice of the audience, Sookie says, “I’m a faerie?! How fucking lame!” Yes, Sookie, it’s pretty fucking lame. As Bill explains, a faerie coupled with one of her female ancestors, and as is common with faeries, it was most likely against the human’s will. …

Okay, show of hands: who here has ever had a hot, sweaty sexual fantasy about Jay, aka Jason, aka Silent Bob’s foul-mouthed, junkie best friend?
Yeah, me either.
However, having ditched his long unkempt hair and trademark black tuque in favor of a feathery do and some manly stubble, I’ll be the first to admit that Jay has cleaned up rather well. I actually watched Bitten in its …

This week begins with Eric’s prompt return – family crown in hand at last – to Fangtasia after staking Talbot with something that looked like a medieval dildo after seducing him in last week’s porn episode. Pammy is freaking out, and the decision is made to find a human’s house to take refuge …

A short but sweet bit of news for ya – Hammer Films announced today that they’re entering a partnership with Dark Horse Comics to “create a series of co-branded original graphic novels and comic books.” First on the agenda? That little movie you might have heard about called Let Me In.

I swear to you, I don’t deliberately seek out 3-D news to report. It seems like every other story I post here relates to comin’ atcha flicks – Piranha, Gremlins, Friday the 13th. This particular incoming 3-D flick may be of particular interest, however, as it promises to showcase the rubber clad figure of Kate Beckinsale. Yes, as Variety reports – and we reported back in August – there’s a fourth Underworld film on the way, to be directed again by Len Wiseman. Nothing is known other than …

Blood Creek (2009)
Studio: Lionsgate
Directed by: Joel Schumacher
Cast: Michael Fassbender, Dominic Purcell, Henry Cavill, Emma Booth
Review by: Marc Patterson
It sucks popping in a film that you’ve heard nothing good about. It’s already set up to fail. Such was the predicament I found myself in as I began viewing Blood Creek. It was a film that had been described as all but an epic failure on the part of Joel Schumacher, a guy who hasn’t done anything truly great since The Lost Boys era. Okay, so I liked …
