I hope everyone has their tickets because Texas Frightmare Weekend is only a few weeks away. We’ve just gotten word that Anchor Bay will be on hand to show some footage from director Steven Monroe’s remake of I Spit On Your Grave. In addition to Monroe, stars Sarah Butler, Chad Lindberg, and Rodney Eastman will also be there to host the footage. There will be a Q & A with the director and actors after the footage.

I received a press release today for Texas Frightmare Weekend 2010. In addition to celebrities, prop auctions, and a myriad of other horror goodies, there will be a film festival (you can buy passes here for all films, or individual selections) at Studio Movie Grill in Lewisville.
The festival will host Adam Green’s Frozen, George A. Romero’s latest zombie installment Survival of the Dead, and 2001 Maniacs – the sequel to the cult hit.

I’m going to be honest here: before SXSW, I hadn’t watched a trailer for any of the films playing. Part of me wanted to avoid having any expectations going in and be genuinely surprised. But then a friend pointed out the trailer for Serbian Film. As soon as I saw the trailer, I knew this film was something special. Serbian Film would be unlike anything I had ever seen.
And I was right.
