News just broke late last night (at least for those of us on the East Coast) that Adam Green’s Hatchet 2 has been picked up by Dark Sky Films with the intent of turning the films into the next big horror franchise. Big news day for Adam Green, writer/director of the 2006 slasher film, Hatchet. In an exclusive with Shock Til You Drop, Green says he’ll be back to write and direct Hatchet 2:

If you’re interested in what looks like another bland slasher re-make then you can check out The House on Sorority Row’s new website, which just launched.  On the website you can watch the entire film, which is synopsized quite nicely in the trailer.  I love it when studios save me 90 minutes of my life by condensing them into 2 minutes.  And good thing too.  This looks fuckin’ wretched.
