Neighbor (2010)
Studio: Lionsgate
DVD Release Date: July 27, 2010
Director: Robert Angelo
Cast: America Olivo, Christian Campbell
Review By: Marc Patterson
I first caught wind of Neighbor via a trailer on the Open House DVD (review here) and was shocked that I had somehow missed a film that stars America Olivio (Bitch Slap) as a serial killer. I immediately made sure that I had the film in my possession. From the trailer it promised to be an absolutely nasty affair, though appeared to be a bit rough around the edges, exhibiting the typical …

Open House (2010)
Studio: Lionsgate
DVD Release Date: August 3, 2010
Director: Andrew Paquin
Cast: Brian Geraghty, Tricia Helfer, Rachael Blanchard, Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin

Open House is a serial killer film that puts its stakes down more in the camp of thriller than horror, though for those who might quickly dismiss this as another low budget direct to DVD piece of trash, you might want to give it a second glance.
David and Lila (Geraghty and Helfer respectively) are a psychopathic couple with a penchant for murder. When they find a …

Okay, I’ll admit – that was a really bad headline. I’m the king of dry humor and bad jokes though. Just ask me about the dead hookers sometime. What!? Where am I?
Whew… had to snap outta that one. So check it out! I have three brand spankin’ new DVD’s for Open House to giveaway. That’s right – Three, which is one better than two!
Featuring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer of HBO’s True Blood, Open House is a bloody thriller in the …

As his sword & sandal slash-’em-up Centurion opens across the UK (though not at my locale, annoyingly), Digital Spy caught a word with Neil Marshall and learned that his next flick, Burst, is “hopefully going into production in the summertime.” The movie will see Marshall return to the horror genre, but in new company: Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures and Lionsgate. I’m assuming that means he’ll be leaving his beloved northern Britain and shooting stateside with a US cast, although Marshall doesn’t say anything to confirm this. All we know …

Who in the hell is Tod “Kip” Williams? That’s the question undoubtedly on the mind of every horror loving fan. I make it my business to know stuff like this and even I was scrambling to find something, anything, on this guy when news broke at ParanormalMovie.com that he was chosen to helm the upcoming sequel to last years breakaway horror film.
Oren Peli made the announcement:
“I have some awesome news for the fans of Paranormal Activity – director Kip Williams will join us for the next …

The sunny coast of Spain. Hot bikini babes and ripped surfer boys bombard the beach with their bouncy, buffed, bronzed beauty. After a day spent riding the waves, a bunch of assholishly vacuous friends gather to party. The alcohol is plentiful, the girls are willing, and that one sexy beach bunny that jerkoff Jason had has his eye on all day shows up too, …

It’s official (as if we couldn’t see this one coming). According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision Blog, Paramount has officially brought on Saw VI director Kevin Greutert to helm the sequel to Oren Peli’s phenomenon Paranormal Activity. Alongside Greutert will be the veteran TV screenwriter Michael R. Perry. What this means for horror fans is that October is already set up to be another battle of the box office between these two giants of horror. This past October Saw VI took …

It’s the year 2019, and in the not-too-distant future vampirism has overtaken society like a disease. There are less than 5% of humans left alive, and it is now the sole objective of our military to hunt them down and bring them to Bromley Marks, a large corporation whose main income comes from keeping humans alive and farming them for blood to sell through their profitable blood bank. Working …

I have to say, there’s quite a bit of news that’s been sent a long to us regarding SAW VI that we haven’t posted. We’re just not into posting every little thing about every big studio film that comes along. We’re critics, not marketers. But when this news bit came along from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures I couldn’t help but post it because as much as I tend to loathe much of this franchise, I can’t deny it’s formidable force amongst horror fans, and I …
