According to SpoilerTV the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is currently in re-shoots after a series of test screenings done recently. Apparently, the re-shoots are extensive enough as to require new casting, although according to the folks at SpoilerTV, the only scene known to be in filming currently was in a diner set, which isn’t exactly a stomping ground that Freddy is known to hang out in. Myspace released a teaser trailer for the Platinum Dunes (house of Michael Bay) produced remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street last night at midnight. The remake is directed by Samuel Bayer (director of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” video), written by the team of Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer, and follows in the Platinum Dunes tradition of bringing back beloved horror icons and….doing something with them.
