News just broke late last night (at least for those of us on the East Coast) that Adam Green’s Hatchet 2 has been picked up by Dark Sky Films with the intent of turning the films into the next big horror franchise. According to Danielle Harris’ official Twitter feed, Miss Harris has been officially cast as Barbara in the upcoming 3-D re-make of Romero’s ‘Night of the Living Dead’.
The re-make, which is sure to be a stunningly horrific affair (and not in a good way) is being produced by Simon West Productions, and is being directed by Zebediah De Soto who co-wrote the script along with David R. Schwartz. According to a recent article in The Hollywood Reporter George Romero is completely uninvolved with this film.

So the weirdest thing happened to me the other night… I was wandering aimlessly through the local drug store looking for all sorts of medicines that would kill a seasonal allergy styled headache and I hear “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin, from Top Gun coming over the PA.
