Two contests in one day? What can I say… It doesn’t happen often so you’re welcome. Frozen is a film we here at BrutalAsHell.com are very excited about. I got to catch an advance look at the film just a couple nights ago and will personally attest that I spent half the film slack-jawed. It was pure insanity. Make sure to check out Britt Hayes review of the film. I joke that Britt and I are like Siskel and Ebert as we rarely …

Frozen director Adam Green
Interview conducted by Britt Hayes – January 2010
In part one of my interview with director Adam Green, we discussed his upcoming survival suspense-drama, Frozen (in select theaters February 5th), as well as his influences for the film and his opinion on remakes. Since the interview was so long (and so epic!), we’ve decided to bring it to you in two parts.
We’ve talked about Frozen, and now it’s time to talk about his anticipated upcoming film, Hatchet 2, which recently began production:

Brutal as Hell: I can’t do an …

Frozen director Adam Green
Interview conducted by Britt Hayes – January 2010
Adam Green is a fantastic director who has brought us brutal films like Spiral and Hatchet. His latest film, Frozen, is an intense survival-horror drama that premiered at Harry Knowles’ (Aint it Cool News) annual Butt-Numb-a-Thon at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. I wrote a glowing review back in December, and positively jumped at the chance to interview Adam. Since this interview was so long (and so awesome), we split it into two parts.
Ladies and gents, I give you part …

News just broke late last night (at least for those of us on the East Coast) that Adam Green’s Hatchet 2 has been picked up by Dark Sky Films with the intent of turning the films into the next big horror franchise. Earlier last week our own Britt Hayes spoke to Adam during final pre-production on the film, and we’ll be bringing that interview to you in the next couple of days.
From the press release:
The movie, which has just begun shooting in LA, brings back …

Coming right on the heels of my Frozen review, the official poster release, the website launch, and the confirmation of a February 5th, 2010 wide release date for Frozen, is news that director Adam Green will be gracing Texas Frightmare Weekend 2010 with his presence.
Green also directed the much-loved Hatchet, and will be discussing his plans for Hatchet 2 at the fest. Frozen is debuting at Sundance, followed by a February 5th release courtesy of Anchor Bay. My suggestion for those of you itching to watch the trailer: …

Right on the heels of our official review of Frozen comes news that Adam Green’s sub-zero horror flick will be getting a wide release this winter! As of this morning this was still up in the air, but thanks to that early review we were able to verify with Anchor Bay that come February 5, 2010  you’ll all be getting to enjoy this intense film in your local multiplex. And – as an added bonus you can get a look at that one-sheet again – this …

Adam Green is known best to many horror fans for his directorial work on Hatchet, a bloody slasher film starring Kane Hodder as the titular killer. His latest effort, Frozen, isn’t premiering until next year’s Sundance in January, but at last weekend’s Ain’t it Cool/Alamo Drafthouse-sponsored Butt-Numb-A-Thon 11, Adam Green stopped by to give us the world premiere of his new film.

I was at the Aint it Cool News/Alamo Drafthouse-hosted Butt-Numb-A-Thon XI in Austin this past weekend, and Adam Green was on hand to premiere his latest effort, Frozen. I will have a review to you guys this week on that fantastic film, but until then, the poster has been unveiled at Shock Til You Drop. I can tell you that quote from Harry Knowles is true: the film is scary and fucking intense. More on that later when I give you the full review.

Big news day for Adam Green, writer/director of the 2006 slasher film, Hatchet. In an exclusive with Shock Til You Drop, Green says he’ll be back to write and direct Hatchet 2:
“It’s finally happening,” Green enthused. “It’s going to have double the body count, and Anchor Bay is being cool enough to allow me to make the sequel I want to make.”
The first Hatchet film starred Joel Moore (Dodgeball, Grandma’s Boy, the upcoming Avatar) as a guy whose friends drag him to New Orleans on Mardi Gras to …
