It’s only four more weeks until Abertoir, the National Horror Festival of Wales, takes over the Aberystwyth Arts Centre.  The showcase includes not only some of the hottest new horror films from around the world, but also some time-honoured genre favourites; even so, Abertoir is not limited to film alone, celebrating horror in all its forms, with plenty of room found for the literary and theatrical.

I’m personally very excited, as this year will mark my first visit to the event, which I’m assured is one of the friendliest and most heartfelt of its kind. I guess it’s possible we at Brutal As Hell might be a teeny bit biased in the festival’s favour, given our own Nia is an assistant director of the event, plus the fact that Keri, Tristan and our sometime guest contributor Gavin Baddeley are long-time attendees (not to mention that Gavin gives an annual talk at the event, and Tristan will be doing a DJ session). But hey, don’t tell me this line-up doesn’t catch your eye…
