As attendees of FrightFest the 13th slowly attempt to re-integrate into everyday reality (and believe me, it can be a stretch), here comes more UK horror film fest news to ensure there’s no rest for the wicked. The full list of screenings for Grimmfest, the major annual event from Manchester’s Grimm Up North, has now been announced, beginning with a special preview night on Wednesday 3rd October in Stockport (featuring two of the most celebrated films of FrightFest 2012), followed by four nights taking over two screens of Manchester’s Dancehouse Theatre.

7.35pm – 8.30pm SHORT FILM SHOW CASE
8.30pm – 10.00pm STITCHES
10.00pm STITCHES Q+A

On top of this, from Saturday there’s a second screen open, offering a few opportunities to catch SOME GUY WHO KILLS PEOPLE again, plus THE ESCHATRILOGY, CRAWL and HATE CRIME.

Having caught some of these at FrightFest, I can attest that Stitches is great fun and Nightbreed: the Cabal Cut (discussed in my festival report) is definitely worth a look, and of course I hear nothing but good things about American Mary, Some Guy Who Kills People and Cockneys Vs Zombies (look out for review of that one here soon), so I daresay Grimmfest 2012 is well worth a look. Manchester in the area, and so on.
