Not even a month ago we announced that Shout! Factory would be releasing Halloween 2 and 3 onto Blu-ray, an event that marked the first time either film would see a Blu release. Just today, moments ago, we got word that on August 28th Anchor Bay will be giving Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 the Blu treatment. They’ve gone in and given both films new transfers and are stocking the discs with bonus features created just for these releases. See below for the lowdown and keep an eye out for our official reviews to coincide with the August release date.

This time, Michael returns to Haddonfield for Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris, Halloween 5, The Last Boy Scout) – the orphaned daughter of Laurie Strode – and her babysitter Rachel (Ellie Cornell, Halloween 5, House of the Dead). Can Loomis stop Michael before the unholy slaughter reaches his innocent young niece?

I always found it funny whenever fanboys would hope for a Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael movie. After all, those two dicks and all their successful sequels are what denied Michael a dignified death. Although Halloween 2 was nothing more than solid, it did a fine job of wrapping up that particular story.

Especially when you consider how disjointed those other two franchises were from the original movie to their early sequels. Nobody would give a damn about the original Friday the 13th except for Savini’s top notch effects if not for the little bastard in the lake jumping from the depths for a shock ending then morphing into a full-grown hulking retard for a bunch of sequels.

Betsy Palmer’s Lamb Chop lady on a crack binge portrayal of Jason’s vengeful killeer mommy was purely campy, not spooky.

But the Voorhies clan won in the end when Michael re-emerged for these two tedious cash-in turds as nothing more than a pale Jason imitator.
