Redemption to Release Jean Rollin Vamp Flicks to Blu-ray in January

Fans of the late great Jean Rollin should take note. Back in October it was announced that Kino Lorber had acquired Redemption Films and had plans to re-release their library of Jean Rollin films. Now we have an official date, as well as some info on those releases to share. On January 24, 2012 Redemption Films will be release five of Rollin’s classic erotic vampire flicks to Blu-ray for the first time. Jean Rollin’s The Nude Vampire (1970), Shiver of the Vampires (1971), The Iron Rose (1973), Lips of Blood (1974), and Fascination (1979) will be the first of many more to come, and personally speaking – I can’t wait.

Each of these films has received restored HD transfers (no word on how or what was involved with that). They’ve also been given new special features, which include twenty-page essays from Tim Lucas, long time editor of Video Watchdog.

Extras on each disc will include:
