‘Tucker And Dale Vs. Evil’ Finally to Be Seen by the Masses!

It was March of 2010 that we first got a glimpse of Tucker And Dale vs. Evil when it premiered at the SXSW film festival. If you ask me that’s a damn long time (too long) to have to wait for a film that our own Britt Hayes called “a perfect horror comedy“. Yeah, that’s pretty good praise considering the source, especially after she quantified that by stating that most of these breed of films are “dumb comedies that capitalize on dick and fart jokes, or shitty films masquerading as spoof comedies that spend 90 minutes showing you pop culture references and saying “Hey! You know this! It’s Britney Spears shaving her head and going crazy!” If comedy is a difficult genre, horror comedy is doubly hard“
While Britt was correct in saying that Tucker And Dale would likely see a September or October release, she was roughly 12 months off. While we don’t know what caused the massive delay in securing a distribution deal all we DO know is that the wait is over.
Tucker And Dale vs. Evil will get a VOD release on August 26th followed with a September 30th limited theatrical release date via Magnet/Magnolia Releasing. You can read that full review right here.
