Official FrightFest 2011 Artwork – It’s Hella Good!

You know, “hella good” as in “hell”… because, like, there’s a demon in the picture, and… oh piss off, I’m typing this at 8.30 in the morning.
So, those good old British gents from FrightFest just released the official poster art for the 2011 event, from artist Graham Humphreys, who describes his concept thus: “As it is the 12th year – my idea was a demonic creature crawling out of Big Ben (12, midnight, of course). It’s also a sly nod to ‘Shock around the Clock’ and there’s a sneaky reference to ‘Quatermass And The Pit’ as well.” And in these days of incessant Photoshopping, isn’t it nice to see something so lovingly handpainted?
Check out the poster below (click to see it bigger) and remember that the full festival line-up, which we’re told will be upwards of 40 films, will be announced on 1st July, with tickets going on sale the next day.
