Welcome to Zombie Jesus Weekend at Brutal As Hell!

by Marc Patterson
Welcome one and all to the brash, shocking and blasphemous display of revolting and outrageous insanity known as Zombie Jesus Weekend. Beaten raw and buried, condemned by traitors, the rotting corpse of Christ rises from the grave to save us all. Jesus is alive! Undead forever!
This weekend we celebrate the spirit of Easter in true Brutal As Hell fashion – with a case of cheap beer and loads of raunchy, nasty and disgusting zombie action. That’s right, crank up some 45 Grave because it’s party time!
The celebration starts today, on Good Friday, and you better believe it’s good. While you’re tossing that fresh lamb dinner in the oven take a moment and get ready for what’s coming at you, because we’ve loaded the guns and we’re bringing it hard like a bullet to the brain. In anticipation of this holiday weekend we’ve reached out to several horror websites and bloggers to have them join us in the madness and chaos of the weekend. Starting today we’re going to be talking all zombies, all weekend. As it stands, in addition to our hefty staff contributions we’ve got half a dozen guest pieces pouring in making this a block party that’s going to kick some serious ass.
Just to give a quick taste, David Zuzelo of Tomb it May Concern has dug up some decrepit corpses you might have not yet discovered. That’s right. Fuck them Easter eggs. We’re after cadavers. Jeff Martin of Better Geek Than Never, has some tips for the newly converted undead, and of course the Slash & Dine gals have concocted a little something special just for the occasion. If any of those sound in the least bit good I can promise you there’s so much more on the way. We don’t want to ruin everything though. It’s going to be a great time and we hope you keep stopping by all weekend long.
I’d like to quickly thank the awesome horror artist Putrid for the custom piece of artwork he created for us, specifically for this weekend. You caught a glimpse of it on the front page where it loudly proclaims the onslaught of the weekend, but its true awesomeness was only partially seen. You can check out the whole image below, and if you want to see more of Putrid’s artwork, well we think you should. Make sure to check out his official website, and help support this amazing artist by purchasing a print or t-shirt.
Thanks again for reading. You are all what makes this site awesome. Have a killer Easter weekend.
Rock n’ Roll,
Marc Patterson
