Post-Apocalyptic Horror in ‘The Collapsed’ – First Stills

Last night the first stills from Justin McConnell’s post-apocalyptic horror film The Collapsed made their way online. While I’m generally underwhelmed by the photos, which sport the quintessential gas masks and gun toting survivalists making their way through the woods, the film actually promises to deliver on much more than your typical bit of PA horror. Considering the recent onslaught of PA horror I’m really hoping it does because when the world comes to an end it always helps to have something more dark and sinister afoot. The filmmakers are also shooting on the RED 4K camera system, which means if nothing else, this should look pretty damn good.
The synopsis is pretty straightforward:In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately tries to survive against insurmountable odds. Their goal: escaping the city and traveling to the rural community they once called home, Dover’s Bend.
The constant threat of a violent death forcing them to stay as far away from civilization as possible, they take to the forest, soon to discover the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries.
The cast includes John Fantasia, Steve Vieira, Lise Moule, Anna Ross, Vincent Thomas, Stefano Gallo, Kassandra Santos, Neil Green, Rick Cordeiro, Greg Sommer, Charlie Kundallini, Milan Cobanov
