‘Night of the Demons’ Trailer is Sick, Gory, and AWESOME

Last October horror fans went nuts for the DVD release of Trick ‘R Treat, well this October that DVD release should be the new Night of the Demons. (Technically Night of the Demons comes behind the Blu-ray release of The Evil Dead, but if we’re being technical The Evil Dead is a reissue). Now, as a good horror fan, who hates remakes, (blah, blah, blah) I know I’m not supposed to actually say this, but I’m really (and I mean really) looking forward to Adam Gierasch’s remake of Night of the Demons. Sometimes remakes get it right, and from the outset this is one project that appears to have gotten it right. It’s got some great production values, excellent FX work, and a great cast. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that these elements coalesce into a fantastic film.
I digress. Late last night Bloody-Disgusting.com got their hands on the first official trailer for Night of the Demons and it promises nothing short of loads of gore, off-the-wall demonic activity and buckets upon buckets of blood.
The cast is an all-star round-up of horror icons that includes: Bobbi Sue Luther, Diora Baird, Edward Furlong, Michael Copon, Monica Keena, Shannon Elizabeth, and Tiffany Shepis. Night of the Demons opens in theaters in the UK on September 17th and hits the US direct to DVD on October 19th. Save your money, because October is shaping up to be an expensive month for horror fiends.
