‘SAW 3-D’ Motion Poster is Disturbing Yet Impressive

Well – it’s certainly “eye-popping 3-D”, as they say. No denying that. We just got a look at the new motion poster for Saw 3-D (below), and I must admit – I’m kinda impressed. It’s sad to say it but from the looks of this kind of art, soon paper one sheets will go the way of yesterday, much the same way photoshop killed the painted poster artistry of the 70′s. Instead, theaters will be filled with digital display boards to capitalize on cool trickery. No denying it… The SAW VII folks make the point well.

This new poster incorporates elements from the six prior films, and emphasizes how “the traps come alive” in the utilization of the 3-D imagery. Clearly this is NOT one that will be hung on your wall. So weigh in folks. You like it? Dislike it?

I hate to admit it, but that’s pretty cool.
