It’s Like a Beer Bong… For Vampires!
by Marc Patterson
Once in a GREAT long time I get some cool promotional piece from a current film. Last time anything really good happened was back when I got a bloody severed finger from the Alien Raiders guys. Well this time comes a piece that I have deduced with all my cunning to be from the folks behind Let Me In. Now listen… this isn’t going to sway my opinion of the film one way or the next, but it is a cute gesture and a trinket like what you’ll see below is always appreciated.
So I get this very lightweight box in the mail from PO Box 666 Los Alamos NM. Sound familiar? Well at this point only mildly. I open up the box and all that is in it is this “evidence bag”. It doesn’t say much, but contains a bloody funnel.

Well, a couple clues and it doesn’t take but half a moment for me to figure out this is a cool little bit from Let Me In. The bag is dated 1983, it’s from Los Alamos, which is where Let Me In is set and by now everyone should remember how the botched murder scene in Let The Right One In resulted in HÃ¥kan abandoning his victim in the woods. He drained his victim of blood by hanging them upside down from a tree and funneling the blood into a container to be taken back to Eli. Now, I’m pretty sure he got away with his goods in the original, but maybe such isn’t the case for Let Me In.
Anyway – even though the bag says “Do Not Tamper” that’s pretty much like telling me not to push the red button. It’s going to happen. So check out me acting like an idiot… you know… the standard…
