Gory Sexy Cool? Vampire Samurai Action in ‘Blood’

Out now on region 2 DVD is Blood. Not to be confused with Blood: The Last Vampire, this is an ‘an erotically charged vampire shocker’ from director Ten Shimoyama (Shinobi). I should think the words ‘vampire samurai’ say it all, but the plot involves a “Detective Hoshino (Kanji Tsuda) whose latest assignment leads him to the mansion of a voluptuous, reclusive heiress, Miyako Rozmberk (Aya Sugimoto), to investigate the 14-year-old murder of one of her former maids.” This leads Hoshino to investigate a suspect, “Ukyo Kuronuma (Jun Kaname), a mysterious businessman with powerful connections,” who he proceeds to catch “in the act of slashing the throat of a naked young girl chained up in his headquarters.” Intriuge, murder, sex and undead love triangles ensue.
We’ve got a few clips below – take care, they’re a little on the NSFW side. I must say, this doesn’t look quite as much fun as Big Tits Zombie, but maybe that’s just me. In any case, Blood is out now courtesy of MVM, and will be reviewed here soon.
