Blood Between the Panels 3: Devil, Nemesis, Crossed: Family Values
by Bryce Holland
Welcome back, fiends, for the third episode of what is undeniably the best fuckin’ horror and brutal comic review show on the internet hosted by me, Bryce Holland, Blood Between the Panels!
I’ve got great new releases to review this week, plus an awesome book that I somehow missed out on few weeks back. So sit back, relax, and let us all bask in the greatness of blood and guts on the four-color page!
This weeks books include:
Devil # 3 (Dark Horse Comics) Written and drawn by Torajiro Kishi – A tough detective must work with a by-the-books partner to bring down an old friend infected with a dangerous vampire like virus. Completely action-packed, and brimming with heady science fiction and plenty of gore. Easily one of the most unique horror books on the shelves.
Nemesis # 1 (Icon) Written by Mark Millar, Art by Steve McNiven – A psychopathic billionaire travels from city to city targeting cops, then systematically destroying them. But this time, he may have met his match in Washington, D.C. Another stellar effort from this tandem, filled with pitch-black humor and over-the-top action.
Crossed: Family Values # 1 (Avatar Press) Written by David Lapham, Art by Javier Barreno – A rural family with plenty of dark secrets must now contend with the twisted psychopaths introduced in Garth Ennis’ amazing Crossed. Veteran scribe Lapham gives a new look at what is easily the best horror comics franchise of the last decade.
