BrutalAsHell.com Editor Marc Patterson Featured in Mr. Horror Blogosphere
Well there’s nothing like a bit of shameless self-promotion, especially when that shameless self-promotion comes in the form of being interviewed for Mr. Horror Blogosphere. I’d just like to thank Chuck Conry for putting the whole contest on. Personally this isn’t something that I plan on winning, nor am I too concerned with doing so. I’m just happy to have been included, and I want to give some kudos to Chuck for putting on such a contest in light of the drama that surrounded the whole Ms. Horror Blogosphere. Often times our little site here is overlooked as a blog, which is what we really are, even though we take on a more hybrid look of being a full blown website. But that’s cool. We chose the look and feel for the site, so have to suck it up and deal when we aren’t included. Being included in something like this is just plain fun though. So everyone do your part and go support Chuck and his blog Zombies Don’t Run.

Personally, I was totally fooled by the whole spiffy-website look and feel of Brutal as Hell, or I certainly would’ve included the amazingly talented Britt Hayes for Ms. Horror Blogosphere in a hearbeat! The quality here is so top-notch that I didn’t even consider you guys a blog. Clearly, you’re doing your job much too well.
Hey Brian – thanks for the compliments. That means a lot. We really try! And yeah – it’s tough. Blog or website? I’m kinda cool straddling the line. Sometimes there’s the want to go full blown one way or the other, but I like having the freedom to keep our content opinion laden, which goes away when you become a straight up news source. That said I’d like to assure folks that we follow the cardinal rule of journalism in posting news stories: If your mother says she loves you, check it out!
Awesome! It’s so cool to see people supporting this! I’m not going to mention names but some people just want to ruin everyone’s fun. But I agree I think these contests are fun and a great way to meet other writers!
