Utter the name of Fulci around here and you’re going to peak some interest. I can’t speak for EVERYONE on the staff, but I’ll tell you that the majority of us goddamn adore this guy and his whole catalog. We’d rather watch the worst Fulci films repeatedly rather than be subjected to the mediocrity that defines most modern horror. I’m not kidding. Before I caught wind of this new release I had cued up Lizard in a Woman’s Skin in the ol’ disc player. I mean… thanks to the folks at Fright Rags we’ve even informally started a Zombie vs. Shark t-shirt club. Our t-shirt design (can’t wait to get that printed up at some point in my lifetime) takes nods from The Beyond. Baked spaghetti anyone?

Okay, enough of my non-sensical fanboy ravings. I for one am very excited to see City of the Living Dead (aka The Gates of Hell) get a Blu-ray release thanks to the fine folks at Blue Underground.  It’s slated to hit shelves on May 25th of this year, and should sell for less than the quoted price of $34.95.  You can pre-order it at Amazon for $24.49

Check out the specs on the disc and see below for the cover art and then make sure to check out the trailer below!
