A Belgian Giallo? And Who Said Something About Waffles?

To make it clear – I’m not late to the game in posting about Amer. I just haven’t bothered posting yet because so many other horror news sites else have done a pretty solid job of doing so, and up to this point I haven’t seen why I should jump on the hype bandwagon. But it’s getting down to the final yard line before the film hits various festivals, including SXSW, which we intend to be at, so I guess I can start making a post or two. After all, two notes into this black gloved retro slasher and my music geekery took over. Speaking of which, you wanna play some film geek trivia? Play the trailer below and name that tune. I instantly recognized it, but that’s because the CD is currently in my glove box, and gets regular rotation. No, there’s no prize, but to make it fair I’ll have the answer below. In the meantime feast your eyes on what is said to be the final trailer for this new post-giallo giallo film. It’s probably closer to a real giallo than Argento’s Mother of Tears. Ouch! (Yes I did just say that!)

I’m not going to bother with a synopsis for the film, blah, blah, blah. Giallo isn’t about story… it’s about style. So, I’ll just pour me another glass of J&D scotch and drink it in again with you!

By the way – If you haven’t guessed the tune it is Stelvio Cipriani’s La Polizia Sta a Guardare (Titles) (La Polizia Sta a Guardare) written for Luciano Ercoli’s Death Walks Trilogy.
