Hey – this is my website I can do whatever the fuck I want, right? Well, what I want you all to do is go visit our friends at BThroughZ.com (right after reading this article of course). For those of you who aren’t in the know, B Through Z is a monthly web-zine covering all sorts of cinematic schlockery. What isn’t readily apparent to anyone, (and sometimes that includes us), is that there is a HUGE cross-over between their site and ours.  I’ve contributed to a couple of their issues and our staff writers Ben and Dustin are both regular contributors to B Through Z.  While I don’t think Ben has anything on this months issue Dustin maintains his monthly presence over there in force.

So let’s talk about what makes B Through Z so fuckin’ great.  Honestly, it’s hard to know where to start.  There are many things I love about B Through Z.  First – the articles are fantastic and the choice films discussed are truly the trash-bin horror that you’ll want to seek out and consume immediately.  And the interviews?  Well, they are downright hilarious to the point of my personal jealously.  I read it and think – why can’t I be that funny?  And if you know me, you know I think I’m a funny guy.  And folks, they get some great personalities to interview such as Neil Marshall and Robert Englund.  Though in my less than humble opinion their best interviews come from lesser known talents such as Thomas Seymour Edwards (of Bikini Bloodbath fame), and Kevin Strange (of HackMovies.com).  Hell, they’ll even dip their stick into terrain outside the genre.  For a prime example see their interview with porn star Sunny Leone and comedian Jim Norton.  No correlation to horror whatsoever, but who cares?  It’s all good stuff!

That said, what I absolutely love the most about their site is the artistic direction.  Artistically speaking B Through Z is hands down the best looking horror website out there. I’ll throw down the challenge for you to show me a better looking horror website – page for page.  My bet is that you can’t.  The site isn’t coded using some content management system that controls most blogs.  It’s good ol’ HTML, which lends itself to greater flexibility in artistic design and lets the website radiate that warm feeling you get when reading an old school print zine. Take it from me, an ex-zinester who in the mid 90′s worked for See Hear Fanzines in Manhattan’s East Village – I can personally attest that B Through Z is the real deal.  Each page is graphically different from the next, and is not something just thrown together half-assed from a quick and easy photoshop job. Every month sees a different theme for the site.  Not easy to pull off.

So from me to you – I’m telling you to check it out and bookmark it, whatever.  Just make it a regular monthly read.  You’re going to enjoy it, I guarantee.
