You know… Studio’s never fail to come up with new inventive ways to hype their films, but I really have to hand it to Sony. They’ve really grasped the whole idea of social media and while I never like to be a victim of ridiculous hype it’s damn hard to not appreciate the genuine nature of the tweets pouring out from lead actress Milla Jovovich. She’s been tweeting like a mad woman – dropping inside scoops and behind the scenes details usually not ever seen until the DVD arrives.

Up til’ this point I’ve not bothered reporting on any of them, but you know, there’s no shame in dropping an occasional plug. Personally… hokey as the Resident Evil films are, I really like ‘em. I think I’ve seen Extinction a good half dozen times (Thank you free on-demand cable service) They really ought to be a guilty pleasure, but I live a pretty guilt free life.

Today comes a new behind-the-scenes video from the set of Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth installment of the film slated to hit theaters in 3-D on August 27, 2010. Check it out, and once there’s some real news to report we’ll let you know.
