‘All About Evil’ First Still and Website

Thanks to the power of Twitter I just discovered that the official website for All About Evil has launched this weekend. Much to my chagrin I did not find any teaser trailers, but I did find a handful of bloody good stills I could share with you all. All About Evil is sure to be a film that will appeal to fans of splatstick, tongue in cheek horror comedy along the lines of John Waters meets Elvira, with a dose of early Sam Raimi tossed on for flavor.
It’s directed by Joshua Grannell, a name that was totally foreign to me until I learned that Joshua is Peaches Christ, that infamous queen of San Francisco drag, and hostess of the immensely popular “Midnight Mass” film screenings.
The film stars Natasha Lyonne (American Pie, Slums of Beverly Hills), along with a stellar cast that includes Thomas Dekker, Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), Mink Stole, Jack Donner, Noah Segan and Jade and Nikita Ramsey.
ALL ABOUT EVIL is a twisted black comedy set in the world of a classic old horror movie and a love letter to classic movie houses everywhere! The evil begins when Deborah, a mousy librarian, inherits her father’s beloved but failing old movie house, the Victoria. In order to save the family business, she discovers her inner serial killer– and starts turning out a series of grisly short films.
Deborah quickly cultivates a rabid legion of San Franciscan gore fans who help catapult her to new, found local celebrity, business booms so quickly, she’s forced to bring on a full film crew of like-minded misfits to meet the demand! Her adoring public, and even her biggest fan, high school student Steven, don’t realize that the murders in the movies are all too real. But will this brooding youth catch the blame as Deborah’s steady stream of ‘actors’ keep disappearing at an ever-quickening pace?
