No ‘Monster Squad’ Remake… For Now

News went out earlier via The Hollywood Reporter that Mike Mitchell, director of films such as Shrek Forever After, and Duece Bigalow Male Gigalow was going to helm a new Warner Bros’ action comedy called Monster Squad. The article was specific to state that this film is NOT a remake of the 1987 Warners film from Fred Dekker, but that this is an entirely different project altogether. It would seem that any confusion, (minor, major, or nonexistent) is the result of a project “with the same name as”.
This will likely be our first and last post on the matter as it appears that this new film will be a “high-concept, big-budget, supernatural fantasy” film and not a film in the horror vein. If we find out news to prove different we will of course bring it to you. However, suffice to say I think our instincts have proved rather dead-on in the past, so you can click on to other items knowing that your precious classic from the 80′s is safe… if only for now. Mwahahahaha.
