I've recommended this movie to a few of my friends that like horror and they hated it. Partly because they had to read subtitles, how sad. A lot of my "mainstream" movie friends will occasionally ask for a good horror flick recommendation and for a while last year I pointed them to Let The Right One In, (if foreign and vampire didn't turn them off). After viewing it they didn't like it either, almost universally in all cases. It was just too "art house" for them and I think they were looking for something of a slightly different vein. It seemed to good to be true for Hoffman, and that's fine it's a rumor. Britt, I too, love the Swedish film. I was transfixed in the theater, and now I can say I have a freaking crazy friend, because he caught it finally, after my glowing review, and disliked it immensely. Boo to him!
