30 Days of Night: Dark Days – Director Named

30 Days of Night: Dark Days, the sequel to the 2007 vampire flick 30 Days of Night, based on the comic series by Steve Niles, and published by IDW has been given a director. Ben Ketai, who has worked as writer/director on the short web/tv series 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails, and 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust, will take the helm as director in his first feature film outing.
This second installment in the series will remain a faithful adaptation from the comic book series, at least as faithful as Hollywood ever is. The story picks up roughly a year after the first film ended. Stella, the survivor from the first film publishes a book “30 Days of Night” that re-counts the vicious assault of her hometown Barrows Alaska. In doing so she attracts some attention, both wanted and unwanted. Joining up with a group of vampires hunters she sets out to track down and kill the vampires responsible for the destruction of her Alaskan town.
Production will begin this October in Vancouver Canada.
