Now this actually looks good.  NBC has been given a “script commitment” for an adaptation of Vertigo’s Midnight, Mass comic series.

According to i09 the show will simply be called “Midnight”.  Set in a coastal Massachusetts town the comic is a sexy story that features a husband and wife couple, Adam and Julia Kadmon, who do battle with all sorts of supernatural beings.  The series had an eight issue run in  2002-2003 and was written by John Rozum with art by Jesus Saiz and Jimmy Palmiotti.  There was also a six-title follow-up series in 2004.

What some readers may find hopeful is that Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts, who were behind writing/producing duties on Pushing Daisies are on board in writing/producing capacities here.

No word on when this will hit the boob tube, but we’ll be looking.
