In late June we made a couple posts about an upcoming post-apocalyptic film The Lawless: Hell on Earth.  We just got word that they have now launched their full website, which includes an audition contest.  Right now there are a handful of characters, who if you fit the profile, you can take a script, do a reading and post it online.  Interesting way in both raising interest and filling some cast roles.

The tagline provides quite a bit of info on the unique angle being taken here: “The dead walk the earth… They are the least of your worries.  Mankind can be a far greater monster.”

Film creator Josh Davidson tells us: “You know those zombie movies about that group of innocent people who hide out in some enclosed place until the zombies eventually break in and then some of them die, but some get away to go to some isolated place and give hope for the survival of mankind? Well, this isn’t one of those movies.”

The film is being created by Josh Davidson (Perkins’ 14, Ghosts Don’t Exist, Deadlands 2: Trapped) and R. Todd Broadwater (a lead artist for games such as Fallout 3, Oblivion). They have combined directed 13 shorts and are making their first feature with The Lawless: Hell On Earth. They have assembled a crew of the best the MD/DC area has to offer including several of the f/x artists from Laid To Rest who are tasked with bringing some amazing and original kills to the big screen.
