Swedish Backwoods Horror MADNESS to premiere at Cannes
I’m a big fan of the filmmaking abilities of the Swedes. They have a striking ability to take a ho-hum, overdone concept and turn it into something that’s a tension packed good time. There’s nothing unique about MADNESS. It’s the same hack n’ slash horror film that is made god knows how many times every year. Yet rarely is it done well. Below we have the synopsis and trailer thanks to Quiet Earth. Now let’s just hope this one manages to deliver.
Synopsis: Friends Jenna and Tara are on their way to a cheerleading contest. At a gas station they decide to help two guys, Oliver and Chad who are having problem with their car. What they don’t know is that they are being watched by a group of mad men. Their only intention is to hunt them down and kill them for pleasure. After being captured and locked up, survival is the only thing that matters, but just how far are they willing to go?
