Blood The Last Vampire – US Trailer and Website!
Oh – it’s a wonderful day. We were sent the trailer for the live action feature Blood the Last Vampire. Turns out that it’s the same trailer we posted back in March for the UK release of the film. However, the added value here is that there is now an official website for the US: Blood the Last Vampire Official Website
Needless to say, our excitement over this film continues to grow. We’re fans of anything violent, and so far, this continues to appear to deliver the goods, making something nice of the vampire sub-genre. A genre that has been over-saturated with tepid and apathetic filmmaking at best.
Coming to theaters this summer from Samuel Goldwyn Films, Blood: The Last Vampire brings to life an English language live-action feature movie of the original Japanese anime feature film from a producer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Hero. Gianna (My Sassy Girl, Daisy) stars in the film as Saya, a 400-year-old demon-hunting vampire slayer working undercover in Japan for a secret organization, on a mission in the Vietnam War era. The cast also includes Koyuki (The Last Samurai, Always: Sunset on Third Street), Michael Byrne (Beyond the Sea, Gangs of New York), Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Punisher: War Zone, Clubbed), and Allison Miller (“Kings”). The film features stunt choreographed by Cory Yuen (Transporter 3, Red Cliff), is produced by Bill Kong and Abel Nahmias, with screenplay by Chris Chow.
