Eli Roth’s THANKSGIVING a Reality
Looks like fuckin’ Eli Roth, that eternal douche bag, will be actually shooting a full feature of THANKSGIVING this fall. We picked up news via MTV that once Roth wraps up his work with INGLORIOUS BASTARDS he plans to shoot that nasty little bitch of a trailer that first appeared as a faux trailer in the Tarantino/Rodriguez GRINDHOUSE project:
“The plan is this: I want to do a huge budget movie, but tack on three weeks to the end of it and shoot ‘Thanksgiving’,” he revealed. “I want to do an $80 million dollar movie, and then schedule three weeks at the end to quickly shoot a $5 million dollar movie.”
Roth is calling THANKSGIVING “the sickest, bloodiest, most violent slasher movie” He goes on to say “I want to make the highest body count slasher film I can.”
There’s no doubt that Roth can do gruesome, but his films to date have not impressed us. Time will certainly tell. It could prove to be a very bloody Thanksgiving for a good deal of us.
