Edges of Darkness Trailer
Indie zombie film. These three words typically send shivers up and down my spine, and for good reason. Zombie films aren’t known for their vast innovation and indie zombie films are often even worse. Edges of Darkness could be an exception to the rule, and I stress could be. Edges of Darkness seems to borrow bits and pieces from films such as Mulbury Street and [REC], by centralizing on an apartment complex where three groups of people shelter themselves from a mass zombie outbreak. With a twist of style, it introduces a unique element showcasing one couple who are vampires, another guy who’s an obsessive novelist, and then a post-apocalyptic survivalist who rescues a mother and her son, only to find that they’re on the run from renegade priests who want to kill the kid! I’ll withhold final judgment until I can sit down and screen the entire feature. But the trailer certainly perks my interest.
