Aliens are raiding my underpants! Alien Raiders Update
Raw Feed Entertainment has announced DVD artwork and extras for upcoming Alien Raiders film, slated for release on February 17th. Alien Raiders is looking to be the best title yet from Raw Feed, a label that has excelled at churning out sub-par horror films such as Rest Stop. Sure, they got a halfway decent release with Otis, but up ‘til now they were shaping up to be a one semi-hit wonder.
In a nutshell Alien Raiders follows… well, an alien invasion. During a quiet night in a small Arizona town the Hasting’s Market is ready to close up shop for the evening when it is shockingly overtaken by a task team that storms the grocery store capping off shoppers and employees alike. The task force turns out to be a group of scientists who have tracked an alien invasion to the store, and until they determine who’s harboring the aliens, (in their bodies no less) no one makes it out alive.
Alien Raiders is directed by Ben Rock (Shadow of the Blair Witch, Conversation) and produced by Dan Myrick (The Blair Witch Project). John Shiban co-produces, which is a downer as I have not enjoyed his stuff to date. (Rest Stop, Rest Stop 2). However, Tony Krantz of Otis fame serves as a co-producer, so who the hell knows.
Extras include:
· Hidden Terror: The Making of Alien Raiders – An in-depth look at the “hidden among us” themes in the film
· Blood, Sweat and Fears: The Special Effects of Alien Raiders – Behind the scenes look at creating the gory effects for the alien creatures in the film
· Tape #9 Sterling Explains Alien – Hand-held camera footage of Sterling (Ford) detailing the physiology of the alien parasites as well as her first meeting with Ritter
· Tape #12 Spookie’s Job – Hand-held camera footage of Spookie (Philip Newby) explaining how he obtained his “talent” for spotting aliens
· Whitney Cam – Postings from Whitney (Streets)’s blog after the Buck Lake incident
· Raw Feed trailers – for in case you care about reliving the crap that Raw Feed has produced to date.
